About Our Chapter

Welcome to the Texas Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi!

Here, at The University of Texas at Austin, we are so proud of our chapter, members, and their accomplishments. Pi Phi has been such a blessing these last three years providing me with loyal friendships, community service involvement, and leadership opportunities, along with personal and professional growth. Growing up in Arkansas, coming to UT from out of state was a daunting task, but I was completely enveloped in love and sisterhood immediately at Pi Phi - I felt right at home even before the first day of school! One aspect I love about Pi Phi is that despite any differences in age, hometown, major, or what have you, we all have developed a bond like no other.

2018 is an exciting time for Texas Alpha as we are implementing some changes in our chapter. We are starting new philanthropy events, supporting literacy, on and off campus, involving our chapter with organizations all over Austin, like Copperfield Elementary School and Reading Aces. In the fall, we are planning to host a Parents’ Weekend Silent Auction to benefit Read>Lead>Achieve and continue a second Lollypops with Literacy, an advocacy initiative on campus. Regarding new sisterhood events, we are working hard to incorporate more sisterhood events like night yoga at the house and s’mores with alumnae at Fireside Chats to help our Pi Phi sisters create even stronger community. Finally, our 2018 Exec Board is working to improve our alumnae relations in Austin as well as throughout the country with our Pre-Professional Workshops and fraternity heritage events.

I am so proud of each and every member of our chapter; the goals and aspirations of every Texas Alpha woman truly reiterate the Pi Phi values and reputation. Please feel free to reach out to use if you have any questions.

Pi Phi Love and Mine,
